Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Merry Christmas!! Ok so I know it's late, but I have noticed that I'm not the only one! I've sat down 4 or 5 times to do this and it just never seems to happen. So it's time to get'er done!!! We had a great Christmas!! Todd's mom, sister and nephew all stayed at our house and we had a great time. It took Allie a little bit to figure out that there was cool stuff inside the boxes but by the end she was a pro. So much so that just today she found a roll of Christmas paper and was convinced that there was a present inside. It took 5 minutes of me explaining and her exploring, to get her to finally give up and let me put the paper away.

This is Christmas morning in front of our tree.. and Allie with Aunt" Teesee"( Theresa). Allie has on cousin "Whatt's" (Wyatt's) hat and that doll is sooooo annoying. Luckily it's now out of batteries.

I think she was trying to tell us all something.... she is definitely the best present ever. The cute little tutu she has on, grandma made for her and she loves it. Some of her other favorite gifts were the little farm animals from aunt Theresa, Elmo and her little pink sled. The sled however has never seen the snow. Allie thinks it's for spinning or "I sinn" as she says. I have a funny video of Todd spinning her on it that i'll have to post later.

This is a picture I had to take( this ones for you K and K ) you know who you are. What's Christmas with out a little tradition? Anyway I made a "master list" for Todd of all the things I've wanted over the years and have just gone with out, or figured I could live with. I did it because he is always saying he never knows what I want. I figured no more excuses, the list had so much on it I thought he would be good for a couple of years. I didn't expect him to try to get it ALL in one holiday! So as you can see I got totally spoiled. I think he was trying to make up for the gun! There's a great story about the beautiful picture of the tree in the picture that I will have to get to later as well. Sorry if this is so long, I really want to remember all this so if you don't read it all and just look at the pictures I completely understand.
The picture of the old dryer is definitely something that I hope I remember every Christmas. That dryer was the my moms that she got when I think my oldest brother was small. It was around 25-30 years old. When Todd and I went down to see my mom after Christmas, we pulled up and she was carrying a laundry basket from her neighbors. Her dryer hadn't been working for a while and she had been taking it there or to my sisters to get it done. The second Todd saw her he said were getting your mom a new dryer for Christmas. Can I just say that I truly love that about Todd, he is such a giving person. If he knows of someone in need he wants to help. NE way long story short we got the dryer, she cried! I cried! I would have given all of the things I got for Christmas back just for that moment! Christmas is definitely better when you give!

The 2nd of January I had the chance to get together with my best friends from high school. The four of us were inseparable. Until Aubree(red shirt)moved to SD our JR. year. She moved back for collage and we were all together for Raineys(blue shirt) bridal shower. We had all seen each other off and on but we hadn't all been together in about 9 years! It was so much fun!!! I haven't laughed that much in a long time. It really made me realize how great it is to have those kinds of friends and how important it is to keep in touch. I want to start having a girls night out! If your interested let me know!
Well that was the holidays for me and my fam...Hopefully you haven't fallen asleep though the novel...I'm glad I learned so much this holiday session, I pray there is more lessons to come. I know I need them!
